PEMBROKE, NC-Robeson County’s newest business complex, The Angel Exchange held it's grand opening festivities last week. The Angel Exchange is the new corporate headquarters for Native Angels Homecare and Hospice and also houses all commercial lease office space and conference rooms, an urgent care center, a full service cafeteria (Mimilicious), gift shop and florist (Butterfly Patch), pharmacy (Water’s Pharmacy) a full service spa and Salon (Cloud 9) and a chapel (open to the public) for prayer & worship. The 36,000 square foot state of the art facility is located at 201 East Livermore Drive just off of highway 711 in ComTech Park in Pembroke.

Grand Opening festivities kicked off with a golf tournament sponsored by Angel Elite Sports in which 78 golfers participated. The tournament was designed as a fund raiser for the multi-sport program and was a rousing success. Over $2500.00 in cash was given to the two winning teams and two runner-up teams in each flight.

On 8/8/08 the official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Angel Exchange building. Over 200 people attended the event which included food and guided tours of the building.

A Community Wellness Day was held on the Angel Exchange Grounds Saturday, August 9th. The event included many events for the kids, music, free health screenings and performances from various church groups. Later that night, the Angel Exchange Chapel (Fulfillment Center) was dedicated. The Fulfillment Center is open for meetings and special events along with spiritual activities.

“This building is designed to be an asset and a resource to our wonderful community and we hope that the people of Robeson County and surrounding areas will benefit from the Angel Exchange and all it includes,” said Bobbie Jacobs-Ghaffar CEO of Native Angels and the person who envisioned the complex 7 years ago. “This complex is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the people of our staff as well as MetCon Builders, G.E. Capitol, and so many more people from our community, added Jacobs-Ghaffar.

Native Angels was recognized as the 2007 Small Business Administration (SBA) Business of the Year.
