BILLY GUNTER
PROJECT MANAGER, BUILDING DIVISION
Mr. Gunter brings 40 years of construction knowledge and
experience to the MetCon Construction team. Billy began
his career in the industry at the age of 17 immediately
after graduating following in the footsteps of his
father who was then a general superintendent for a
regional construction company. Just a few years later
Billy and his father started and ran their own
successful company for 21 years in Southeastern North Carolina. Billy was the qualifier for Gunter constructions’ general
contractor’s license.
After his fathers retirement Billy ran his own successful insurance agency for 8 years prior to returning to the construction industry full time as a project manager for a regional commercial design/builder. During this time he was responsible for the successful completion of over 40 million dollars in projects in Southeastern North Carolina.
Billy holds an associates degree from Bladen Community College and has numerous certificates to his name. He has completed the OSHA 10 hour course, and the Butler Quick track metal building software course.
