Harley Scurlock
Grading Superintendent

Mr. Scurlock as over thirty years of experience in heavy highway construction. Prior to his employment with MetCon Construction, Inc., he supervised over fifty employees and three grading crews in his previous position with Sanford Contractors, a major highway construction company. With a hands on approach, Mr. Scurlock started as a Rodman with a grade crew thirty years ago and worked his way up to grading superintendent. Projects to his credit include: the Woodlands in Chapel Hill, NC; NC Highway 74 widening at Whiteville, NC; US1 widening at Southern pines, NC; I-40 turning lane and widening at Jones Sausage Road. At MetCon Construction, Mr. Scurlock is responsible for all grading operations with a substantial fleet of twelve dump trucks and thirty-two pieces of heavy equipment.
